Stress is something which affects every one of us on a daily basis. Coping with stress and stressful events in our day-to-day lives can be challenging. This is especially true if you have sustained an injury. Suddenly you may find yourself unable to perform certain tasks and activities, such as sitting down for too long to work on a project or playing with your children.
It is important to be mindful of the additional pressure you may be putting on yourself which, in turn, could increase your stress levels. Make time for your physiotherapy treatments and for your mental health.
If you notice that your injuries are causing you to feel overwhelmed, don’t think twice about taking a step back and making some time for self-care. Be patient with yourself and remember that you are doing your best!
